"The only constant is change." The Greek philosopher Heraclit didn't have Facebook in mind when he stated this fundamental truth around 500 BC. It fits the social network like a glove though. Notorious for its frequent and often unannounced changes, Facebook stimulates its users to heated debates, time and again.

The New Facebook Page Admin Panel - Yay or Nay?
A few weeks ago, Facebook changed what they display in the top left part of the Admin Panel. Where you used to see "Notifications" about new posts, comments and likes by your fans, you are now presented with a list of your own recent posts, their total reach number and a hard to miss "boost post" button.
It stands to reason that this was another move to push promoted posts. Facebook says no. They claim it was an effort to get page metrics such as reach at the forefront.
I am pretty annoyed with that change. Immediate access to the notifications was a big help in monitoring comments, especially on older posts. Now you have to click on the "Notifications" buttons to check them, then click back to your Timeline.
What say you? Thumbs up or down for the new Admin Panel?
